VSP invites military spouses AND our civilian community members who are milspouse and military family supporters to this special book discussion!

Join VSP as we delve into freelance journalist Melody Warnick’s beautifully researched and intimately felt book, This is Where You Belong: The Art and Science of Loving the Place You Live.

Explaining the concept of “place attachment” and giving truly accessible ways of learning to love wherever you live – no matter how temporary – this is a book that will benefit our military and civilian community alike. You’ll learn how we can “come to feel at home in our towns and cities” and how that can impact our “physical and emotional well-being” in a very big way. We’ll get to discuss the results of our own “Love Your City Checklist” provided for us at the end of every chapter and reflective of Warnick’s own “Love Where You Live” experiment. We’ll also gain insight from each other while we share the diversity of our “frequent movers” and “loyal stayers” experiences.

Before You Register…

Because we want to ensure the deepest quality of experience in our Veteran’s Spouse Project offerings, we put a maximum participant number in place for every event. We understand that schedules get packed and emergencies happen, but please make every effort to commit to showing up. Every “no show” takes a space away from a milspouse who could truly benefit from the community and healing present in our offerings.
