Step Aboard The Intrepid in NYC for Words Matter: an Evening of Play Readings Inspired by Military Spouse Stories

Join us for a once-in-a-lifetime event celebrating the work of Veteran’s Spouse Project (VSP). Words Matter is a unique annual initiative where The Workshop Theater [in New York, New York] partners with a non-profit organization doing critical work in the community.” This year, The Workshop Theater has generously chosen Veteran’s Spouse Project as that nonprofit.

On May 4th, four new plays based on the conversations between military spouses from the VSP community and groundbreaking playwrights commissioned by The Workshop Theater will debut on The Intrepid — WWII aircraft carrier, National Historic Landmark, and museum floating at Manhattan’s Pier 86 of the Hudson River.

Contributions from the event will directly benefit the VSP mission that “gives voice to the experiences of military spouses across generations, connects communities, and bridges the gap between military & civilian life through storytelling and theatre.”
